Main air for rail vehicles
The MC series is a main air compressor series, specifically developed for the railway sector. It is based on our know-how and experience of more than 40 years of oil-free piston compressors. The MC series has a compact size and is low vibration/noise. It is an ideal solution for new or retrofit railway projects that have to withstand extreme conditions.

Customised compressed air systems
Main air compressors of the MC series are suitable for installation in a wide variety of vehicle types and can be custom-configured according to the installation situation. Both the dryer and the welding frame can be individually adapted to the respective vehicle type and installation situation.
VFD-capable IE3 or IE1 motors
The main air compressor is operated by a motor with continuous running capability. The motor has been specifically developed for use in rail vehicles and is designed for operation with a frequency converter.
Withstands high vibrations for a lifetime
The main air compressors of the MC series are equipped with very robust wire rope vibration dampers. They protect the compressor and the vehicle from strong vibrations and ensure trouble-free operation. The vibration dampers are maintenance-free during the entire service life of the compressor.
Alternatively, other types of vibration dampers can be used where the situation requires. We would be happy to discuss this with you.
Oil-free means trouble-free & environmentally friendly
Oil-free compressors protect the environment by reducing the need for scarce raw material, such as oil. Through the compressor life we are also avoiding waste oil and oil filters.
- No oil level checks and oil changes.
- No costs for oil, filters and disposal of used oil.
- No oil vapor that can impair system function.
Our compressors withstand extreme conditions
Each series undergoes extensive testing to ensure performance within technical limits and to meet the requirements of the railway industry. Additional tests can be realised according to your specific requirements.

The compressor and related components are tested according to the following standards:
- Resistant to dirt – IP resistance of the motor IP 65
- Shock-resistant according to DIN EN 61373:2011-04
- Fire and smoke compatible according to DIN EN 45545-2
- Temperature tests according to IEC 60068-2
- Electromagnetic compatibility according to DIN EN 50121-3-2: 2017-11
